Gentlemen, great scores under exceptionally difficult weather conditions with, what I thought, were very difficult pin positions.

I am slightly later posting my score today as I wanted to finish something off on Pelican Island before starting a relaxing round of golf.

I will keep it short and say that my score was 41/42, 83.
(Anyone for tennis, or snooker, darts dominoes, snap, tiddlywinks, anything but bleeding golf?)
(When I played my practice round the wind direction, on the first tee, from the west, but when I played my round it was from the SSW direction. It made quite a difference. My score would have been the same if it was from the west. )

After playing(?) a round like this it becomes such a pleasure to go back to using APCD. Such peace and serenity with no frustrations.

2nd round in the books finally, wasn't looking forward to it seeing the Windy conditions. Pulled first drive to the left rough, missed the green and missed a short par putt to start with a bogey, after a 357 yd drive I kept changing clubs before coming up 43 feet short of the pin but I sank the putt for a birdie! bogey from the sand at #4, missed the green right at #6 for another bogey, another trip to the sand led to a bogey at #8 to go out in 39, second nine started with 3 pars until a 3 putt bogey at #13, birdie at #14, drove left into the rough by the river, punched out into the rough, another slash out of the deep rough left me still short of the green finally chipped on tapped in for a double bogey 7, rebounded with a birdie from the back fringe at #16, two more pars brought me back in in 37 for 39-37=76 4-over par; 7-over for the tourney and another missed cut.

Hoping to build on my experiences from yesterday , I received permission to go out early before the field woke up.

I will keep it short and say that my score was 38/45, 83.

Look familiar? Equally as bad as yesterday. No control of the golf ball. Hit 6 fairways, 7 GIR. A total disaster.

Good luck to all.

Back to Pelican Hill.

What diabolical conditions and a score to match.

Could not buy a putt, found the rough, found bunkers. The wind seem to be going the wrong way from what I needed and often lead to said rough and bunkers. Many a time I was aiming at water/bunkers/trees to try and keep the ball in play, even pulled out the fade and draw to try and do it.

There was no redeeming features today in my play, and any luck was bad, just legalised torture.

A nightmarish 79.

I'm off to the bar to forget.

Had a lot of technical problems with the computer today. Finally discovered all I apparently needed was to allow an update and reboot. I'm so friggin' hopeless with tech. :helpsmilie:

Anyway, this time it was a 75, with a double bogey on 18 (you might find it amusing.) :dunno:

At least I got the round in one take (sort of, since it only shows a missed birdie chance on 1 at the beginning:)

Even though I missed the cut I still played round 3 conditions, results much like the first two rounds.

Was a tale of two sides, front side went well with no bogeys, birdies at 3, 5 and 9 to go out in 33.

The second nine had a bad stretch where I bogeyed 5 straight and no birdies on the back nine, ball ended up on a bridge for a free drop at #15 but still made bogey! the windy conditions really got me again! Came back in in 42 shots for a 33-42=75 another over par round after a 3 under start. Hit 8 fairways, 6 greens (0 on the back nine) and 26 putts.
