Quite challenging conditions today, the change in wind settings and the green conditions along with some of the pin positions made life difficult.
My ball is also threatening to sue a couple of tree branches for jumping out in front of it.
A day that required good course management and good execution, along with an amount of good luck.
I managed to chip the ball in 3 times and sunk a couple of 30' putts so that was the good luck. The course management was decent enough to avoid any real problems and the execution was not too bad in the main.
I shot a 66, 5 birdies and only one bogey, I had a nasty down hill putt on that hole. The par 3s continue to get the better of me.
All in all I was pleased with the round, but I did not make it easy on myself, requiring said long putts and chip ins.

I wish you recorded your rounds. I certainly would have enjoyed watching this one. What a great score!

I've never got into the recording of rounds, I just save the conditions, the scorecard and the game stats so I have a record.

Des,
Fantastic round.
Again I agree 100% with Des's summation.
After making a birdie on the first I was full of confidence. The confidence level rapidly declined, I was fighting on every hole, and losing badly. After the opening birdie, I had bogeys at 6,7 and 9.
Yesterdays luck gave a brief return as I birdied 11 and 14 before a pitching wedge from 136 yards found the cup for an eagle on 15. unfortunately three putts on 17 gave me a double bogey 6.
My third round score 37/33, 70. To be very honest I am extremely grateful to card a 70.
As I said yesterday I do like the course, but I do not like Gusty wind conditions. On hole 13, the pin position is ridiculous. As I was thinking what club to play, the wind meter varied from 0 to 100% and the landing area is the size of a handkerchief - ridiculous. (I was lucky as the club I chose matched the eventual wind speed.)
I wish the late starters good luck and a tranquil wind.
Ian

Gentlemen,
For your information Dr Linkster has certified that Pelican Hill does not need to be in ICU as there is nothing wrong with the course.
I'm afraid it is another case of:

Went out in the early wave as I barely made the cut. Up and down round as I bogied #1 just can't seem to play this hole, bogeys at #4 and 5 and finished the front nine with birdies at #8 and 9 to go out in 36, bad nine started with missed opportunities as I should have birdied the first 3 holes but only made one birdie on #11 and parred the rest of the back nine, 36-34=70 even par round to stay 3 under for the tournament. 9 fairways, 11 greens, 28 putts.
