Thanks for the encouragement guys, it's appreciated. :tiphat:

I set the round using breezy and almost had a great day.

Out in 32, then, after eagle on 15, I was looking forward to a -7 or better. You guessed it, finished 6,4,6. The pressure was just too much. :fear: (The eagle on 15 was courtesy of my 5 wood hitting in the bunker and then running through to 6 feet from the pin. This was offset on the 9th, by me using the green putter rather than the red for a bogy.)

So my round 32,38 for a 70.

I'm off to see a sports psychologist before my next round.

Got round 2 in with breezy conditions, bogied 2 of first 3 holes, made birdies at 5, 7 & 8 to go out in 35, started the back 9 driving left into the trees but was able to scramble for par followed by birdies at 11, 12 & 16 to come in in 33 for a 35-33=68. 10 fairways, 14 greens, 28 putts.

Third round done and dusted.

As always my comments are based on using RTS.

Inconsistency thy name is Des.

A good number of birdies, but gave too many back soon after, so a very up and down round. I could also kick myself over a couple of holes, cost myself strokes with poor putting.

Hit what looks to be a good shot only to find the ball is on the wrong side of the pin on too many occasions.

The M/FC conditions did not seem too bad for Links and this course, hard to say if the course was created with the mod (challenging conditions) in mind, but the fast green speed meant that many approach shots ran off into the fringe. 6 birdies balanced out by 3 bogies to yield a 69.

FWIW the mod (V1.06) was released around Feb 2006, Version 1.07 in Jun 2008.

Given the time I like to play, I probably should live in Australia. But I don't.

Anyway, I sleep-walked (pun intended) through the first six holes with birdie/bogey exchanges. It helped a bit that I birdied 7 and 8 (with a 360.) So, out in 34, but not terribly confident, and didn't help things with indifferent efforts on 10 and 11. And then I birdied four straight holes and 18 to top things off for a 65. Not that I think I will gain any ground on my esteemed colleagues.

I again played with Breezy conditions.
The front nine was hard work just to make par - 5pars, 2bogeys and 2 birdies.
The back nine was better. Yesterday I scored an eagle on the 15, today a bogey. The only bogy along with 4 birdies. My driving has been the most consistent part of my game since I started plying the tournaments, but today on the par 5's I missed all the fairways.
Score 36/33 for a 69.

Will I be able to handle the pressure to secure four sub-par rounds?
