Links PGA Tour 2026 - Truist Championship

Welcome to the "Links PGA Tour" where we simulate the conditions of the PGA Tour. **We select the green speed and Pin positions with the courses we have in the data base, to give you the feel of playing along side the Pro's. ** All holes are played from the back tees.

The breezy to gusty condition apparently requires a condition randomizer function that I cannot find in my version of Links. It's supposedly only available through version 1.07 which, as far I know, I installed years ago. Can anyone enlighten me?

The wind options are on the same screen as the options for the green conditions, just above them.

I have the four standard wind conditions. SCG appears to be proposing a "blended" wind condition (breezy to gusty) for round two that can alternate during a game randomly. I did some research about this, and, with the creation of the 1.07 patch, a condition randomizer function was introduced to replace a game randomizer function that evidently existed prior to 1.07. This randomizer function seemingly enables conditions such as green hardness or windiness to change without notice during a round. If it exists, I don't seem to have it.

Either that or I'm living in an alternate reality and am making all of this up.

:clapping: No randomizer. Just giving you an option for your wind choice. Play breezy if you like breezy, gusty if you like the extra challenge. Maybe you are simulating a morning tee time, not much wind at that time as opposed to a afternoon tee time which may be much windier. You guys are so cute

Randomise pins is the only setting I know of in Links itself.

There is a tool that I think Jerry did that gives you a set of conditions to use.

Thanks for sending me down the rabbit hole Thomas. :bookh:

Either the AI was playing an elaborate con on me, or something cool exists in some version of Links in some universe. :pcwhack:

Well I have played my second round.

It was better yet in some ways it wasn't. A 65 is the posted score. The playing conditions were more to my liking.

My position play is crap, so it is putting even more pressure on my short game, today it was mostly up to the challenge, mostly.

Club choice is still presented problems as is the backswing length to use on some shots. Many of my approach shots are still using longer clubs, I could do with more distance.

8 Birdies all told, 5 of which were on the back nine, but 2 bogies on the back nine annoyed, refer previous comment on positional play and club choice. Happy enough with my driving in the main.

Still I'll take it.

Wanna trade Des? Good round.

Back here on earth, I shot another 67 after leaving a few putts just short. Played using gusty conditions, because in case you didn't figure it out from the above, I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack.
