Spyglass Hill

Post by Weeler »

I just felt the need to send out major Kudos on Eddie Schmidt's rendition of Spyglass. To think that it was released 20 years ago in 2005, and without the help of the current Lidar DEMs that many are using nowadays, and at only 43 Mb. , I think the accuracy and details are exemplary !! The planting, and textures and color palette are very well done ! The ocean texture is near perfect too. Everything fits so well together. Of course Linkster's are well aware that Eddie's work has always been a cut above. Just check out his entire course listings. I played a round this morning and only shot a 76, but I feel like that was an accomplishment for me on this layout, and I had a lot fun playing it.
I don't know if anyone has heard any more on his current status, but I sure miss his presence among all the great course designers we have out there. A very talented guy with the APCD. :tiphat:

Eddie was the original "Master of APCD' and would be a welcome addition to our little group...rejoining Sage, Inc.
