Thanks Jimbo. Its virtually unheard of for a cyclone of this force to hit this far south and threaten such a huge population (Brisbane and the Gold Coast).
Its surreal to see the army on the streets, store shelves stripped bare and virtually everything in lockdown now - as we just sit here and wait like sitting ducks for it to hit in the next 12-24 hours. Its extremely uneasy, to be honest. But no choice but to just sandbag, lockdown and hope for the best.
