Does anyone know?
Take-Two are the only one I can remember.
Does anyone else also know why they never did anything with it?
Who runs Links Country Club now?
Where do Links 2003 profits go too after a purchase?
Who owns the Links series today?

So I can assume the silence means nobody knows anything?

Re: Who owns the Links series today?
I seem to remember take-two lost the code.
Don't know if it can be reverse engineered.
Mark Hulka (formerly of Access Software) owns Links Country Club & I think still gets revenue from sales.
And makes new versions of Links 2003 when he's up to it.
My take...

Mark Hulka is a member here and isn't he site owner of LSPN?
Maybe he can shed some light???
We all play this game but no one really knows it's current state.

If Mark does read these forums, hopefully he will be able to reply to all these questions and solve the mystery!

Re: Who owns the Links series today?
A lot of us care. The game is at least 20 years old--but our "glory days" are days when we wake up and this site and Links Sports.net are still around, along with those who keep it going. Even without tweaks or updates---go find a better golf sim! Don't let the door hit you-------!
Re: Who owns the Links series today?
Grand Prix Legends came out in 1998 and still the best 1960's era F1 sim. NASCAR 2003 Season is still the best NASCAR sim out there. Just because a game is old doesn't mean it's glory days are over. Links 2003 is still the best golf sim that I've played, and I've played them all. It's glory days are still present, thank you. Heck the TV channel I watch the most is TCM because I love and appreciate the artistry of a good film right back to the silent era. Quality of a product does not fade away.
