Payne's Valley Golf Club

Post by FOOOOORE! »

Not that there's any shortage of new courses to work on, but this course is absolutely beautiful if you've seen any of the images online, and looks very interesting to play; I'd say as difficult to play as many of the "Fantasy" courses we have here, just from looking at it. Completed last year, a TW design.

There was a match played in September of 2020. Tiger/Justin Thomas vs Rory/Justin Rose. TW/JT won.I remember Paul Azinger commenting that some fairways were wide enough to land a jumbo jet.
No matter where you go, there you are.

..or John Daly paragliding? Yeah, I don't think it's intended to be a really difficult, PGA-level course. Fairways are easily narrowed though, and cheaply; just don't cut the grass for a while. It does look very scenic, and I'd love to see that "hidden" 19th hole included.

There is no google earth up to date info on this course...............looking at the course site and all the images and layout, it would be fun to try and do it in APCD. But without that 3D info............for me, forget it.

Yes, it's just too new. I doubt the clubhouse is even finished yet. Maybe it will be a future Hero World Challenge venue. BTW, your courses now make up about 18% of those in my \Courses folder. I'd play Links more often, but on this crummy 2.3GHz system, I'm running HandBrake every day, and that messes severely with timing one's swing.
