Hi Andy...

I received an email indicating I have a PM here at LC. I came in to look at it and received a message that I have 1 PM "ON HOLD" due to a full PM folder. I have attempted several times to delete some of my old messages but can't seem to get it to work. Just to make sure I'm doing it right, can you confirm?

With a page of message titles showing, I would put a check-mark in the box to the right side of the message titles...
Next I would go to the bottom, right side of the page and open the drop-down menu, and select "DELETE MARKED"...
Then I would press the "GO" button which I assumed should delete the marked messages. All I get is a message from the board saying "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."

I tried quite a few times but cannot delete any messages, nor be allowed to read the one that's on HOLD.

Am I doing something wrong?

I can't delete any of mine either.

In the short term I will increase the limit of messages in the inbox.

The forum software is very complex and I don't know if I'll be able fix this.

Hi Andy...

I just figured out that we can delete old messages, but only one at a time. You have to open a message like your going to read, or reply to it, and up on the top right corner where the quotation marks are for replying, there is a little "X". If you click the X, it gives you an option to delete the message that you're reading. That works. So to delete all of them, it looks like you would have to do it that way, one message at a time.

For what it's worth, neither of the 2 options in that drop-down list at the bottom works. Selecting any of the boxes next to the messages and pressing "GO" always returns that same message saying it didn't work and to try submitting it again.

Have you looked into:
private messages, rules, folders & settings, changes (radio button)
to solve this problem?

The last update of the forum software appears to have cured this problem.

I can now delete multiple PMs.
