Re: Locking a course

I have been trying to remain on the sidelines regarding this subject because it is so subjective, however …. The Links Corner forum allows a free and varied airing of the members thoughts, it also provides a place to ask specific questions covering all things non-religious and non-political. (For th...

Re: Tape ruler in APCD

Pete, The resolution of my laptop is 1366x768. I know nothing about widescreen setting. As I mentioned the image was a photo of my screen, therefore it was not so clear. It was merely to indicate that the tape symbol does not cover the measurement text. This is a screen shot, without the ruler symbo...

Re: Tape ruler in APCD

Pete, I am running Windows 10 on a HP laptop and I have no problems with the tape measure. (Sorry about the quality but it is a photo of my screen as I do not know how to take a screen shot while holding the mouse button) IMG_0105a.jpg I am not technical enough to know what setting(s) may alter this...

Re: Almost Perfect Greens using Contour Maps...

Hi Pete, good luck with the course. Those Strackaline greens are going to be really accurate! I agree 100%. It seems that their green contours are at 1 inch intervals. How much more accurate can you ask for? I am presently trying to build Peachtree GC, Atlanta, Ga. in APCD. I decided to spend my ti...

Re: Almost Perfect Geens using Contour Maps...

Dan, I agree 100%. If the course has the contour maps and you can pay the $50 it is a “no brainer”. (Is it two words?) Which website are the contour maps purchased from? Do they give a reference elevation for each green? Do they show the location of the recommended/normal/actual pins used? I am pres...

Stimp to Green settings

I remember that on the previous forum there was a post regarding a comparison between the Links2003 green setting and the green stimp settings. I copied it and stored in a safe place, so safe I can't find it. Is there a more organised designer that has a copy of the comparison and is kind eno...
