Re: Carnoustie 2022

While randomly looking online for photographs of the golf course in order to see how the Links recreation compares, I happened to notice this beautiful photograph of the 13th hole ("Whins"). If you look at the bunkers, you might notice that they're a lot shallower where you'd walk into the...

Re: Point Lobos Ocean Course

... Seems to me you guys can't putt. Well, that's a real possibility. :) However, I think if you try to play pin positions #12, 13, or 14 -- my round was probably on 13 pin (I always play the hard positions) -- you'll find that the green drops down by many feet past those pins. From this (dropped, ...

Point Lobos Ocean Course

While I appreciate the addition of another course for Links, I have to say the green on the 18th hole of this one sux. At the hardness/speed level I play on[**], it is unplayable. I had a nice round going until I got to that hole when it took me 8 shots to get it in the cup. That hole is one of a fe...

Good shot, Andy. Joy to watch from different angles too.

Also, ty Keith for the recorded round on Shinnecock, I'll be sure to watch those this weekend when I find some time.

Stewart Parker golf courses

It's too bad Mr. Parker is no longer producing golf courses for Links. His collection contains many of my favorites to play. His ScrewTube videos are pretty entertaining too. Example: Boat of Garten (where he mixes videos of shots he played on his courses with real life announcer comments).

Re: Informal Age Poll

Somehow in my mind I imagined the ages of the members here as being mostly being younger or a lot younger than 60. Denial of my own age I guess (62 in a couple months). Summary so far of the ages here (I added +1 to the age shown in the posts from 2021): 30's: 1 40's: 6 50's: 12 60's: 18 70's: 15 80...

Re: Victoria National Beta

(Sweetlake was a long time ago, and my first attempt, so please allow a little tolerance.) yw Sweetlake did feel like a first-attempt type course, the textures were a tad dark, but, overall I was quite pleased with it. I saw nothing there that needed an apology of any sort. I enjoyed the round. thx...

Re: Victoria National Beta

Thank you for adding this course to the Links collection, this might be your best yet, but that's kind of hard to say as I like Wade Hampton a lot too. Wait, and Pasatiempo . And Peachtree ! Never mind, they're all equally terrific additions. I'm just now realizing I've not downloaded/played Sweetla...

Re: Holes In One, Links & Real Life.

Thanks morvio100 , finally took the time to watch the rest of these. You are quite productive with the hole-in-one's! Do you go into practice mode and hammer away at shots on the par 3's/short par 4's until one goes in? Or are these from actual games? It would be interesting to see a Recorded Game (...
