Re: Wade Hampton 2021
Downloaded and played Wade Hampton recently, awesome addition to my collection! Thank you. My approach shot came up short on #5 and landed me in a bunker. That's when I noticed that you can see some odd lines that need to be smoothed a bit. If you are working on the course to fix anything, you might...

Re: Where is everyone from?
It's nice to know where everyone is from. One thing I was curious about, are there any female Links players or designers? The user name of the originator of this poll is a (German) girls name, but it might still be a dude intending to use the "nobility" meaning in the origin of that name. ...

Re: Unlocking a golf course for editing
FYI, I tried a binary compare of a locked vs. unlocked file and they are significantly different. It isn't simply tagging the file as locked, it must be encrypting it or something. </curiosity-resolved> -dh C:\>fc /B course.crz course_locked.crz Comparing files course.crz and COURSE_LOCKED....

Re: Unlocking a golf course for editing
Hope that clears up any thoughts that you may have about locking courses. Yes, and to everyone who responded, thank you. This is definitely the answer I expected, but I thought that maybe someone who has access (?!) to the source code of the CourseLock.exe (or the APCD.exe or Links.exe) app might k...

Unlocking a golf course for editing
Is it possible to copy a locked course and edit it in the APCD? I realize they're locked for a reason, but now that Microsoft Links is past its peak and development cycle, I'm thinking the original course owners probably don't really care anymore. Some evidence towards that claim, for example, may b...

Re: APCD From Start To Finish - Video Tutorial Series
Wow, look at all these tutorials! Thank you for making and sharing these. Their presence has me thinking about revisiting one that I started 15-some years ago and finishing it this coming long winter.

Re: Links 2003 w/ Intel-Only Graphics or Intel + Nvidia Graphics - Solution Found
Hey Jim, thank you. Yes, I am a lifelong Michigander. Lived in a variety of places in the state and have golfed a lot of the courses (318 last count). Am reloading a lot of the Links 2003 courses I downloaded years ago and am finding a bunch of new ones (esp. Whistling Straits HD, looks like a gem) ...

Re: Links 2003 w/ Intel-Only Graphics or Intel + Nvidia Graphics - Solution Found
I had recently returned to playing rounds on Links 2003 after a long layoff (since the early 2000's, I even designed [amateur] a golf course in Course Designer back then). It was awesome, why was I gone for so long?! Then I got a new laptop and found that Links was totally hosed on that machine. The...
