"Damaze" courses
In the review of Space Adventure , it was mentioned that the course designer had some earlier offerings: Damaze-Falls, Mukes-Lexington and Damaze-Jurassic, where the Damaze-* courses are referred to as having a "fantasy theme". None of these 3 are to be found here in Links Corner. Are thes...

Re: Clip Notes Course Reviews
Course evaluations are subjective though... This became apparent to me while working my way through the 286 courses I have installed in Links at the moment (which doesn't include the many dozens/hundreds of others on my backup drive). I randomly picked Briarwood by Ross Anthony and found that I rea...

Displaying Pin Positions
How do you display all of the pin positions defined on a Links course during play/practice? In the Course Corner forum, pmgolf showed some screen shots and one of them appeared to display all the locations where the pins were placed. How do you do that? That would be very handy so I could try pickin...

Re: Pasatiempo GC Beta
I dont like when all courses look too similar, variation is nice, so I enjoy different types of colour schemes and mowline configurations for different courses I completely agree with this, if everyone used the same texture, more or less, it would quickly become boring. Custom colors and textures a...

Maidstone Golf Club
One more story from A Course Called America . This one involves Maidstone Golf Club , the author considers this part of the "sacred triad" of Shinnecock , National Golf Links , and Maidstone. "Willie Dunn and Seth Raynor had taken stabs at laying out Maidstone, but it wasn't until the...

Re: Pasatiempo GC Beta
Played the Pasatiempo BETA for the first time today. The houses and roads off the course are a nice touch of detail (including in the overhead view). It gives a good sense of realism to the location. Are they photos of the actual houses you might see on the real course, or just stock house photos th...

Baltus Roll
While reading (a very good) book called A Course Called America , I came upon this story about where the name of Baltusrol Golf Club came from. After 40+ years of interest in golf (reading and playing), I'd never heard this story before, thought I'd share it here. "On February 22, 1831, two men...
