Re: On How Many Courses Can you see a LightHouse ( Revised ) .
Shinnecock Hills HD has a lighthouse you can see from the tee of #1 and #15 (maybe elsewhere too). Did not check the other 2 editions of this Robert Miller course. That's actually a windmill - the windmill on the adjacent golf course National Golf Links of America - for which Glenn Braden has just ...

Re: Planting mystery
Check out the README document in the zip file of Jon Weinrieb's Links at Ballylecum Castle. In the "Bugs" section of the README, he describes what sounds like an identical issue to yours. He was unable to find a root cause. I recall he suggested to designers to test plant the entire plot w...

I think I recall that Pete Beckwith may have been involved in Las Sendas as part of that company (briefly).

Re: Newbie question - re Swing types
I now play PS exclusively, usually at Pro level. I used to play Click and just got tired of it being so predictable and formulaic. I tried RTS for a while but it never fully appealed to me - again, it seemed a little too mechanical to me. PS took a bit to get the hang of it, but I quickly got hooked...

Re: Question re - 3d grass - Shadows
Sage, are your standard APCDs of the 3D clone tool model? (If you have it, the "File" menu will display options mentioning "Master save" and stuff, which the normal APCD doesnt have). Im just asking because - perhaps the reason you're able to import more than 100 000 vert DEMs, ...

Re: Question re - 3d grass - Shadows
The way I heard it, is that unlike APCD, the course designer program for the TGC series was made to (or perhaps modded to) be able to import Lidar data straight away. And if thats true, Im guessing those guys on the TGC forums would not be able to help in terms of what APCD needs. I didnt watch the...
