Re: two or three click?
I didn't even know there was a 2-click option. I've always been a 3-clicker, most likely because I played that way in Mean 18 in the old Apple IIgs days (there was no other way to play it). I remember when Links came out, I asked (begged) them to run the power bar in a vertical line the entire left ...

Re: Windows 11
MS are only interested in moving Windows forward not holding the system back to retain compatibility with old software to keep people like us happy. It's all about the money, and there's no money to be made from people like us, trying to keep playing old games they don't even sell anymore. I still ...

Re: A step away from modern day
256 colours? No way!! I remember no sooner had that been released than they were asking what features we'd like to see improved. Top of the list were reflecting water surfaces and shadows. Nowadays I guess we'd be asking for rippling water surfaces, trees that sway in the breeze, and critter...

Re: Windows 11
I found that using Winaero Tweaker I could get rid of all the annoying stuff in Win 10 (Cortana, shopping, people, those idiotic blue&green panels on the desktop, popup toaster, etc.), and make it look and work pretty much like Win 7. I wish I could turn off svchost.exe, which most people don't ...

Re: Windows 11
Be sure to install Winaero Tweaker or apply some of the other available patches that turn off Windows updates. I don't even like the later Win 10 versions, I still have one released in 2019.

Re: City Park Links
"I've never seen that issue at any of Colonial versions, but it's a known issue at the Ocean Course at Kiawa."
Aaach! I think you're right, I've been playing both of them lately and got them mixed up. ok, good to know it isn't just some weirdness on my PC.

Re: City Park Links
I just played the Allen course, really like the layout, especially those Funky Fairways [tm]. The only quibble I have is that branch sticking out on #2. I understand you wanting to force the draw, but =usually= branches in that position are just decorative or mildly intimidating, and don't snag ball...

Re: City Park Links
Thanks for this and the Allen course, Sage. I will get around to playing them today most likely. Anyone else notice that when you play Colonial, when the round is over and you get to the stats page (longest drive, GIR, etc.), it's all zeros? I thought my installation was corrupt when I first saw tha...
