Re: Pga West stadium course
Glad to see pmgolf is the only jerk on the forum. Somebody pops on here and asks politely about whether anyone is thinking of updating a well known course that hasn't been touched in 25 years and he spouts off like he is God's gift to the links community. Bravo, pmgolf. Meanwhile several of the real...

Re: Crooked Stick Final
Agree with Duck Hook This is an Internet message board. No shit.... Whose bashing posters? I asked him, politely, to cut out his incessant bullshit. Is it too much to ask a grown man to speak normally and sensibly ? And not like a 12 year old thinking it's funny. FMD ( Apologies to Ian for the dire...

Re: Crooked Stick Final
Agree with Duck Hook While y'all are bashing posters, why not turn your fire to Jimbo and his ridiculous and incessant nitpicking of bathroom tile and towel bars in houses perched 300 yards behind a tee box having no bearing on how a course plays? This is an Internet message board. If you're lookin...

eStrokesavers
Just posting a link here with some eStrokesavers I found online in case anyone is interested. Some are fairly basic, some only include 3 holes, but a few (including Lytham, Troon, Turnberry, Carnoustie) include quite good details for green contours. http://www.strokesaver.co.uk/products/golf-course-...

Re: Royal st Georges update
Wow, that is some detail.
I was just about to make a post with the following link that includes eStrokesavers for several courses, but the link you posted takes the cake, at least for RSG.

Re: Royal st Georges update
I think the key to remember for links style courses is that the green speeds are almost always significantly slower than American championship courses. I don't think an 'accurate' version of RSG would be playable at F(c)/F(c) conditions, but that's an unrealistic setup for this type of course. With ...

Re: Accurate Greens
The intent of this thread certainly isn't to disparage any courses that don't use real green contours. I just thought that using actual greens books in Links is an interesting concept, and so far I really enjoy playing through the courses that have used Strackaline or similar. It does seem to add a ...
