Hi Morvio
Linkster has said that he is going to produce a tutorial on how it is done.
I hope he does because I've analysed his rendition of Augusta and it is pretty accurate !! Amazingly so.

Re: Using LIDAR DEM for Real Courses
Hi Linkster
A tutorial would be great. Im guessing I'm not the only guy who would love it. It sounds like an amazing process and chapeau to you for figuring it out.

Re: Using LIDAR DEM for Real Courses
The LIDAR data from USGS or uk lidar sites comes in a form the APCD does not recognise. Linkster has found a way of manipulating the data in a prog like QGIS to get the data into a format that APCD accepts. That's the process we are talking about.
I think that's right.

Hi AorGuy
I dont think so. I'm keen to find out how to do it as well.
I suspect Linkster is just too busy

Re: Linkster's LIDAR tutorial
Hi Linkster I'd love a tutorial. I think it's a revolutionary idea and a step forward for Links 2003. I agree with you about other games. They do not seem anywhere near as good as Links and the APCD despite its age seems pretty good still. I've downloaded and played your Augusta and Ian Wells' Mount...
