This sounds morbid, but have you done obituary searches for his full name and the area he lived/lives in?

Methinks Eddie might be no longer reachable wherever he may be. If he's alive, let's wish him the best in life and any problems he may be facing or indeed, respect his decision to go off the grid. If he's no longer alive, May he R.I.P. A really good guy! Very sad and sincere condolences.
