So has anyone played this game on Steam in the last year? It caught my eye when I logged back into Steam after quite some time.
Is there anything similar to our RTS method?
FWIW, that other competing 2k23 product is on sale for $15.

Re: New install
You can also avoid some difficulties by pointing the installation to a non-user protected directory like c:\games\Links2K vs. 'program files'.

Re: Looking at downloading the full game from links CC I've got a question
Can I ask is it worth paying a bit extra and downloading the game with all the official courses? Looks like there are a lot of user courses that are better looking! For a lot of us it's the nostalgia factor, I played these original official courses into the ground when they came out the first time ...

What Surface rev.? As they're integrated Intel graphic chips, you'll probably need the Voodoo/DX wrapper referenced in the stickied post.

Re: AMD Radeon 7900XTX & Links 2003 (RESOLVED!)
Glad to see you got it working. You might check you're up to date on the AMD drivers as the most recent one (24.1.1) fixed the course crashing problem I reported a while back. You could also back up your Links install and registry settings to make them portable to take to a new system when you're re...

Re: Slow rendering
You shouldn't need the Voodoo wrapper any more with a stand-alone NVIDIA card in your new system.

Re: Links 2K3 may crash with AMD Radeon Driver 23.8.1
Good news, amazingly it looks like this was resolved with the latest Radeon driver 24.1.1 which came out a few days ago. I've tested about 15 of the courses that used to crash before, and they play all the way through. I have closed the issue on the AMD forum.

Re: Links 2K3 may crash with AMD Radeon Driver 23.8.1
Unfortunately the problem still exists with the latest Radeon driver 23.12.1.
I can't say for certain if the problem exists outside the NAVI generation cards of which I have one (5600XT) which is a bit older now (circa 2020).

Re: Harding Park 1st look - all new 2Ds...uploaded
I really enjoyed playing this course. I think I was attracted to the great contrast on it with the fairway color and the darkness of the tops of the cypress trees. The sprayed-out sand out of the bunkers was a great touch and the textures are top notch. Felt a bit like a spiritual relative of the or...

Re: Anyone using discrete intel graphics cards?
The ARC cards had some issues w/ early DirectX games, which Links2K3 is, when they were launched. The drivers have improved considerably since then, but there haven't been any reports of attempting to run Links 2003 on them that I've seen. It's pretty niche as you'd imagine.
