Enjoying playing again but I noticed something that I'm not sure of. Using the Classic Swing with 2 clicks, I can take the swing well past the vertical green line into the red and on it's way back down, can second click it anywhere and the ball still goes dead straight. Update: I went in and created a whole new player for myself and deleted the previous one and now have the full complement of clubs to choose from. Thanks for your replies.

After getting a new hard drive I couldn't get Links 2003 to launch correctly. I downloaded all the applicable patches and even went to an NVIDIA graphics card. By the way, I also downloaded the applicable patches and installed all as Administrator. I've also set the compatiblity tab to all the available windows versions with no success.
