Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
I can see one way around the problem dko had with making a mistake. I think it would take AniFactory being able to save a file with the user selections in it, then being able to import it later and make changes, so if you like a golfer specification file, a CSV type file would probably do it. At th...

Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
Wow. I've missed some stuff. I can work on a "thicker" model with no hat. Those are super small files so I'd probably just upload it here and have you copy it to the models folder in the app. The taller anis do look a little different in the game with the clubs and one day I'll figure a so...

Re: Look What I've Been Up To
Well it's official. I have a store page now. Putting the final touches on it. Actually have a shot engine built that I'm working on a graphics engine with Godot and a course designer for version 2. I'm essentially working towards a sequel to Links 2003 2025 style. Won't be as fancy as PGA2k25, but h...

Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
JC, I have started reading your Anatomy of an Ani thread. It is helping me to see how all the parts of AniFactory come together, not to mention what they are for. It is good background info. FWIW while I am no programmer I have been involved with IT since the 1980s. Database work, scripting, Lan Ad...

Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
Des, I'm super pumped you are using it and even more pumped that you are giving me some feedback. Until you used it I was the only one that tested it and obviously my system wasn't the ideal test environment and that doesn't include the fact that I created the app, which isn't ideal either. I just h...

Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
The combination of the PDF and the video tutorials is good they are complementary in my view, the tables in the PDF provide a good ready reference, and the tutorials show how to drive the software. I created 6 Anis as a test in quick succession to see what they would look like. I kept the options t...

Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
That wix website has driven me crazy from the word go. I'm planning on redoing it with a DB instead of the static sheets so when I get to that point I'll try to clean up the viewability of it on different platforms. It's more like an unorganized closet right now.

Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
Putting the sleeves on with a texture is super easy. Here is my Jason Kokrak with the compression undershirt on. I have probably 20 anis with this type of sleeves. This would be the best option to add to the AniFactory because you don't have to worry about the stretching with certain shirt patterns....

Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
Des,
This is what I mean with the stretching. You can see if you use the correct texture like I did with the Keith Mitchell one it looks OK. Any stripes or design and you will see major stretching like in the Rico Hoey one.

Re: Coming Soon!!! AniFactory
Ah, Gotcha. So that would be done in Maya vs. textures. The ones I've done have been to add sleeves as a texture like a long sleeve compression shirt like a lot of the PGA guys wear under their polos. I will tell you the dirty little secret about Russell2008. They had to stretch the sleeve of the sh...
