I think i will continue just drawing a shape or use the
painter. Also, i do not understand the control points.
When you get done an connect the last one to the
first one all you have is a shape. ???

I am giving Paul Seaman"s tutorial a try. I have found that some things are quite different from how i do them. Nevertheless, i created a green very easily. Then i went to do the fairway an ran into an issue. As i am clicking on the little white markers in the top(xy) viewport i run out of room...

Great. I learned quite a bit.

In the course i am updating/ renewing, i keep running into
a problem. Some existing verts have many rays coming out of them.
Some verts cannot be deleted. This causes problems in seam-blending
or creating a shape. adding verts etc. Can anything be done?

This was the first course that Karen an i did. It was over 20 years ago.I had even forgot about it, then i took a look an wished i had not. It was terrible at best.
