Re: new install
Actually I started playing this game back when Access software owned it and the courses were released occasionally for 21.95 and they came on 3.5 in floppies. I have gone through the procedure of loading this a few times but when I step away for a year or so, I cant recall what I did. LOL

I couldn't find my old Links CD's so I bought some on line. First off, I dont know if I should have bought Links 2001 or 2003. I bought 2001 and am having trouble getting it to install. It asks me to install it as administrator and I am the admin. So, I dont know what the issue is. Should I have bou...

Re: laptop
So, I went through the procedure to install the Direct3Dfix. I installed the 3 DLLs and placed them in my Links folder. I then ran the dgvoodooCpl.exe file and checked to see that it matched the configuration shown in imgur.com/cDIOBh5. Once I launched Links, nothing had changed. It never did get as...

If I want to play my tournament rounds on more than 1 computer, like if I'm travelling, where are the players stats kept in the actually Links folders?
I looked all through the directories and wasn't able to fine them. Even the Player folder didn't have my name in it.

yet another dumb question
Sorry for asking so many dumb questions. I want to find events with as many people in them as possible. I prefer the handicapped events. I was looking at the leaderboard for Handicap week 5 which has 32 people in it so far. The leader shot rounds of 52 and 55 and shows at -3. I assume that is the ha...

while in touranment.....
If I step away from the computer in the middle of a round, will it time out OR will it wait for me to come back? Can I save a round and finish it later? Or if I start a round do I need to plan time to finish it.
tourneys
Where should I go to play in organized tourneys? I checked out LSPN and didn't see much in the way of handicapped events. I noticed that the one amateur event I looked at, the players were way better than me. I just want a place to play where its handicapped. Also, are the days gone where if I do ge...
