Dominique BOIS Designs presents :

The Estate Heights Golf Club

History :

This course is one other of my JNSE rebuild series. It has always been one of my favourites under JNSE and I already made an upgrade for Jack Nicklaus 6. This one was really long to come as I really wanted to make it but was wondering how I could do. My first tries were not very encouraging, but after leaving the design some months I came back, started over and, finally, it was rather easy to work at it...

So, I first might thank to original designer, Bob Polin, for the gift of this very pleasant course that entertained me for many pleasant rounds. I have heard of him since a long time, so if any player of this release knows him, or if he plays himself the course, I really hope I'll think I have not betrayed his design.

General notes about the course and the design:

This is a rather easy course that only demands some attention to the player. As many of my designs, the keyword is “attention”. Just think of your way to the cup, leaving you some gentle approach shots, landing on the right side of the cup and this course will reward you some low scores rounds. But, if you are too aggressive, it will do its job by punishing the reckless.

I had many problems designing this course, as the APCD programs bugged a lot (that is well known with Windows XP). Many crashes and the inability to forest made the course come with rather poor object work. There is not underwood planting because the course would crash at the load under Links2003. And, by the way, the number of objects used is very small

I really hope this will have no effect on your pleasure to play around this course.

For hole by hole detail, please report at each hole detail page.

Credits and legal stuff:

I think there are not really borrowed objects or textures on this one, though some of the textures may come from some original designer. But they have been modified so much time that I can decently consider them as mine.

This course is, as always, made to be distributed freely on the Internet for the pleasure of all my fellow linksters. Any other mode of distribution must have my written authorization. Designers that want to use any part of this design must ask for my authorization too.

Now, let’s thank the testing team, as it’s not such an easy job. So, all my greetings to Tony Smith, Scientist, Peter Blanchard, Mark Koontz, Marcus Aurelianus, jeff3putt, John Ruebenkonig, Thomas Davidson, Robert Miller, Vivo and last but not least, Göran Mentzer, my internet golf buddie for so many years now.

          Wholeheartedly thank you all !
