The color combination of the tees, fairways, roughs and greens work well. The scattered bunches of flowers do not fit and look as if they were just stuck in the ground.
And why are there cacti in the bunkers on the 2nd and 13th holes?
The use of mulch and pine needles as undergrowth look very realistic.
The constant use of the same trees on each hole shows poor imagination; yes he changes from hole to hole but why not assort them on each hole. He occasionally will mix but not match. An example of this is the 12th hole . not an attractive sight.
His planting, albeit sparse along the fairways, seemed to improve the farther you get into the course.
His use of bunkers and water hazards do not prove to be a problem at any of the holes, thereby not giving us a course with any challenge, just another hit and putt course.
The elevations and the caddie seemed to work well.
The putting tends toward the easy side. Birdies abound and the occasional eagle can be found on a few of the par 5's.
Hole 6, par 5, 540y, the fairway has two bunkers and three water hazards but none of them are placed to present any kind of challenge. The green has three bunkers and one water hazard and they don't present a danger either.
Hole 10, par 4, 389y, the elevated tee (43.7ft) made for a very appealing sight in the main screen, but when you looked at the top view you can see how poorly the hazards were placed.
Yes, this course is playable, but it lacked the uniqueness that we are always looking for in our next challenge.
