Founded in 1894 in magnificent sand dunes on the Welsh Coast by Snowdonia, St. David's obtained its Royal Status from Edward VII in 1908. Together with County Down and Dornoch, St. David's has to be one of the few Courses that should have hosted the British Open (it's hosted just about everything else) but like the others, has the disadvantage of being somewhat remote.
With blind shots and pot bunkers, when the wind blows, this is a true test.
