First Impressions:
This is a fictional course with a park style setting. Planting here is done with all kinds of variety and sizes with Whistlers Mountain being used as a panorama. Some of the planting is out of scale. Some ten-foot weeds as an example near the second tee box. The bunkers here are mixed. Some have nothing done to them and some have been extruded with no edges turned and I even saw at least one with a rock texture around it. There is some very good planting done here. Some under planting and some other interesting things have been done. Interesting bunker shapes on most of the course and then out of the blue two stock bunkers in the middle of fairway #16. There is good elevation work done and then all of a sudden some bad looking verts and edges on a hole.
Strategy:
Good strategy is found during your entire round on this course. It is not dull and some of the hole layouts are really quite good and very unique. There are excellent risk/reward combinations on many of the holes with different looks to many of the shots. You will find many tight fairways and difficult drives with a lot of decision making necessary throughout the course. Three of the par 5's are reachable and they are all good holes.
Favorite Hole:
It is very difficult to pick a hole that stands out from the rest but I'll go with the par 4 12th. A nice dogleg with some interesting planting done.
Overall:
It is too bad that there are so many mistakes made here because this could have been a great golf course. As it is it's still a very good course but I can't describe it in words very well. It is worth downloading just to see it.
