LINKS CORNER REVIEW |

Taken from Designers' Read me Doc:
Welshire Country Club is a course of my imagination. Although I am sure there are real courses by that name I did not copy any of them. This is my second attempt and I find it very hard to use all of the tools. As I continue to experiment I find new stuff all of the time. I will appreciate any and all feedback you may feel like sharing with me. I live in
Colorado, just outside of Boulder. It is one of the most wonderful places on earth and hope some day, as I improve my skills in the course designer, to make use of some of the great courses we have here in the Denver metro area and put some of them on the menu.
Course Overview
This is Jim Grafner 2nd design/attempt at Arnold Palmer Course Designer...I did not have knowledge of the designer last design, so I download and play 1 round as well.....Jim is showing signs of improvement in his designing but has a long way to go.........Welshire is a fictional/parkland setting and playing a very long 7600 yards.....WOW!
The course layout is average and has way to many fairways the are not much bigger the dental floss..........The design is very basic....straight line design...planting is very redundant, and the course has a lot of sharp edges........but the designer is much improved from his first design Trapper Lake.....but I have the same opinion the Jo Reynolds has.......every course needs to be beta tested.... and my best advice to designer is to visit Links Corner and check out all the great tutorials available for free......they will only make you a better designer Jim....My advice to Jim is be creative...not with length but with your design......make your fairway sexy< a lot of curves>, and by all means take your time on your next Course.......most good designs take 9 to 12 months to finish with proper beta testing, etc!
I can't recommend this Course for download.....it's lack all the extras' needed for a quality design!.......Keep your head up Jim......APCD is a powerful designing tools that takes a lot of time to master......i have way over a year invested myself and I'm just average using APCD......practice makes perfect Jim.....look forward to your next release to see if your APCD skills have improved even more!
