1. See http://linkscorner.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16572
2. Check the User Accounts control applet to ensure you're an "Administrator". You should read more about Administrators, elevated privileges and UAC (User Account Control) here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709691%28WS.10%29.aspx
3. To confirm, check the ABOUT button in the Game and make sure it indicates 1.07. I'm guessing it will, but good to confirm.
4. What do you mean they are not staying? If you open REGEDIT, then make the changes, then close REGEDIT, and then re-open REGEDIT, do the changes stay? Or are the changes "reversed" after you open and close Links?
5. See http://linkscorner.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24665 ; I've never had to run in compatiblity mode, but just below that, make sure you've checked the "Run as Administrator" box in Privilege Level - do this whether or not you are logged in as an Administrator.

As of August 1/10, 593 courses played, 915 to go ....

Thanks Armand, I will give this a go today and let you know how it works.

I was set up as Administrator. I have held out with XP and have the upgrade to 7 when it comes out, so this Vista stuff is a bit new for me.

Thanks again

OK, no go.

1. The box to allow me to run as admin is not available, yet I am the only one on this computer and I am the administrator.

2. Yes, when I change the Mode from 3 to 4, it keeps reverting back.

I followed how to get the computer to recognize my video card, but no luck.

Is this something that is fixed with Windows 7? I have only used Vista now for 2 weeks and can see why people went back to XP.

Vista sucks when it comes to Links.

I am going to out of pocket for the next 3 weeks with limited internet ability, so I don't know if I can see your new post and if so if I can reply back with results.

Thanks

Should have noticed this before, but it is recognizing my Video Card during the start up because it is listed on the bottom of the screen, and when I go to About it list my card there.

But like I say with the Regedit the Mode = 3, changed to 4, reverts bac to 3 upon opening the game.

Thanks
