Well bugger me backwards... I've had that page up at least 5-6 times today, including when you just posted it, and not noticed that link once... I am a muppet. Wall Bash

Thanks for being patient with me! Hopefully I'll get one that works.

Jasonanne,

Thanks for the reply.

I will check to see if directX is up to date and that I have the current drivers for the graffics card. This problem happens every time I restart my computer.

PenMac,

Fuzzrocket and Daniel were very helpful to me with my problem (no longer a problem for me).

I hope you had a chance to look at their comments to me earlier in this post.

Good Luck!

Have you tried downgrading rather than upgrading?

As far as I can remember this has always been the rule for integrated chip sets.

I have an Intel chipset as well and often can't see many graphics, as they get "cut off." The only driver I can find that works is from HP (my computer is an HP) and it does not resolve the issue. Sad I will try installing Links 2003 on my older computer and see what happens.

The 2003 XP drivers are no longer available on Intel's archive pages. Does anyone have a link to them elsewhere, or would someone perhaps be willing to email them to me?

I answered my own question! Good ol' download.com has an old version of the drivers from early 2003. I just did a Google search for "Intel 845 driver" or something like that, and a link to download.com appeared. The glitching is fixed!

Hi all,

In a nutshell:

Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family. Disappearing golfer. 'Nuff said?!? Stuck Tongue

Don't know about trees on greens or anything, since I haven't got that far.

Have searched for older drivers (just for the hell of it I tried a newer one, which didn't help) including at download.com, but I can't find seem to find any.

I shall name my first-born after whomsoever can help me! Well, maybe not, but I'd really appreciate any help. Thumb Up

Some folks have found drivers at this site:

Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately I'm a complete and utter noob when it comes to messing around with drivers, so the thousands of hits I got there (and everywhere else!) just make me go Surrender

I did find a slightly older driver on the Acer site, but it didn't help.

Anyone...?

I didn't search at Download.com directly. Instead, I searched Google (something like "Intel 965 driver"), and it displayed a link to an older version on Download.com.

I can't see any older drivers here, which I gather is what I need. (The newer ones don't work - tried 'em.)

When did the 965 come out? If it is quite recent, will any older drivers exist at all? As you may have gathered, I haven't a clue about this sort of thing...!

(Sorry about self-quote within quotes - don't know how to get rid of it.)

What's the difference? Anyway, I've done both, and either I can't find what I'm looking for or I don't know it when I see it (quite possible - all this technical stuff confuses the hell out of me. However "No results were found for 'Intel 965'" is fairly unambigious...!)

Maybe I'm just hoping to find a unicorn? Anyway, thanks for everyone's efforts, and keep trying.

You're in luck! I looked through my browser history and found the driver page:

http://www.download.com/Intel-845G-830M-Chipset-Graphics-Driver-Windows-2000-XP-/3000-2108_4-10163599.html

To get there I *think* I Googled "intel 845 xp driver 2003". Hope this helps!
