Well bugger me backwards... I've had that page up at least 5-6 times today, including when you just posted it, and not noticed that link once... I am a muppet.
Thanks for being patient with me! Hopefully I'll get one that works. |

Excellent, thanks for that. Certainly lucky since I nuke my history every day. (Somewhat pointlessly as I am the only one who uses this PC. However, I digress....)
Anyway, as I freely confess to not knowing what I'm talking about on this subject, a possibly stupid question: are you sure this is the right one for me? The numbers are different: 845G, 830M - I thought mine was a 965..... It all makes me want to (Or rather, do this to whoever made things so complicated!!)

Yes, your original post did say 965. You'll have to do some more googling to find the right one.

I would guess not. Links likes a separate video card not an integrated one. Sorry, unless you can add a separate card you're probably not going to be satisfied.

This has nothing to do with memory. It is an issue with your integrated video card. Meaning it is built in and not added as a separte piece of hardware. You need to change the driver. You will also probably have to try several different ones until you find one that works. It is usually an older driver. Or get a video card.

So did anyone ever get the 965 chipset to work? If so how? Thank you

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the same problems follow the newer Intel graphics sets? I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite that has--
Chip type: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Adapter String: Mobile Intel(R) GMA 4500MHD
Total available Graphics memory: 1759 MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 128 MB
Shared System Memory: 1631 MB
I figured since I'm happily playing Links 2003 in Win 7 64-bit on my desktop, thanks to upgrading to an ATI video card, I needed a new challenge. The laptop also has Win 7 64-bit. The game launches, but the golfer is completely invisible. In the Golfer Cam screen, you can get up to half of the golfer to show. On the green, the arrow doesn't show and the aiming stick only shows its top 1 foot.
Regards,

I would be curious if you were able to get Links working on your laptop. The laptop I have used for designing and play, which also had an integrated video chipset, has now died. The one I can afford has the same specifications as the one you list here, but is an HP machine.
Thanks for your help.

Hey all. Just installed Links2003 today. Everything looks great, except my golfer disappears when the screen is done rendering. My graphics card in the Intel 82945G. I tried installing the latest direct X but that didn't help. Could someone please help me?
